FAQ
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We offer exclusive use of the studio for personal bridal styling sessions by appointment only. Please book in via the appointment section on the website.
When is best to start dress shopping?
Most of our made to order dresses take 5-8 months depending on the designer of your chosen dress and customisation options.
What if I don't have much time?
We have a selection of dresses on sample sale, these are dresses we are able to sell to you off the rail and you can take your dress home the same day.
What happens at my appointment?
We will have a friendly chat and discuss your wedding day, looks you are drawn to and together we will pull a handful of styles for you to try on and fall in love with. At minster bridal we don’t come into the fitting room with you unless you need assistance.
What do I need to bring with me or prepare for my appointment?
If you have nude seamless underwear, it’s a great idea to wear these to your appointment. If you have some shoes with a heel high you are thinking of wearing on your wedding day, then it’s helpful to bring these along too. It’s useful to come with hair and make-up in a similar style to what you might like on the day to get a clearer vision whilst trying on dresses. But please no fake tan to save our dresses!
How many people can I bring along to my appointment?
We are a small intimate studio and can sit a maximum of 3 guests to accompany the bride.
Can children come to appointments?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept any under 16s in the studio. We understand sometimes young babies may need to attend with mum; please let us know when booking. Please note we cannot have any prams in the studio and there are no changing facilities available.
What sizes do you stock and how does the sizing work?
We have dresses in store size 10-16 and if you are a high street size UK 6-18, we can adjust our sample dresses to fit as best as possible during your appointment. Once you have chosen a dress, it will be made to order for you, as close as possible to your measurements.
Wedding dress sizing can differ from high street sizes and varies between designers.
What is the price range of your wedding dresses?
Our main collection of made to order designer dresses range £1800- £4500. Some of our sample sale gowns are heavily discounted and therefore a number of these falls under £1500. You can view the sample sale gowns on the website.
How do I pay for my dress?
We kindly request full payment at the time of ordering your dress, however if it helps, we can take 50% to place the order and the remaining 50% 12 weeks later as long as time scales allow.
If purchasing a sample sale dress, we require payment in full and you must take the dress home the same day.
