Congratulations on your engagement! Can you tell us about how you and your partner got together?
Amy met her partner the modern way, online in March of 2017. A true love story was in the making as they hit it off with a proposal was on the horizon. “The proposal was on a beach in Devon where he gave our little girl the ring and asked if I’d marry him, he was playing Bruno Mars on his phone at the time and I sobbed like a baby!”
Was the dress, the style you had always imagined?
Amy said “yes” to our fabulous gown by Martina Liana. “The style of my dress was strapless, A line full skirt with lots of lace and embellishment. It absolutely was not the style I thought I would go for but it was absolutely perfect!”
What look did you want to achieve on the day?
“My hair and make up (somewhat like the wedding) was very simple! My hair was up in a low style and I wanted it to look almost messy, I didn’t want a tight do, my make up was flawless skin and natural eyes, I had a very soft wing and a rose/pink lip!”
Did anything a little rogue and unplanned occur?
“On my husbands stag do he decided to get a tattoo, however his best friend had to choose the design (all a dare) and so he chose a mouse as that’s the best friends nickname, this was placed on my husbands bum who then subsequently got This out in front of the entire wedding party during the speeches! The best thing I could tell any bride or groom is to just be in the moment, live every second, and escape on your own when you can, because the day goes by so quickly.”
What advise would you give to our future brides, finding their dress?
“When looking for a dress I would say try and go with your hair in a style that’s similar to how you want it on the day as this helps with the vision, and be open to trying on loads of different styles even if you think you know what you want!”
Tell us a bit about the big day and how you’re looking back on it
“The highlight of my day was the speeches. I loved hearing them all but my dads especially was special and is lovely to listen back to!”“I think if I could Change anything I’d have lived more in the day rather than focusing on everyone else I’d just of been more in the moment! Although it was still amazing! The best thing I could tell any bride or groom is to just be in the moment, live every second, and escape on your own when you can, because the day goes by so quickly.” Our wedding video was like a Disney film! Our videographer was amazing and captured in perfectly watching it back was so emotional and so special! We still regularly watch it now!
