When and how did you and your partner meet?
Sophie and Adams story takes them way back to school when they first met. However their journey took them through the scenic route to rekindling later down the line thanks to todays social media! “We actually met 11 years ago, I went to school with a family friend of his (who ended up being his best man at our wedding) so we originally met in a night club in Brighton. But didn’t start talking again till 6 years later.. Adam liked a picture of mine on
Instagram and the rest is history!!!”
What was the proposal like?
Sophie was lucky enough to live out every little girls dream.“Magical. He proposed in
Disney world Florida in front of the castle so I really did feel like a Disney princess!”
Did you have an inspiration for the theme of your wedding?
“Christmas! We wanted something a bit different and we both love Christmas time so it had to be a Christmas wedding” What a fabulous way to make the festive season even more magical!
What was it about your venue that drew you in?
“Everything. Goodwood House was the first venue we looked at and we didn’t look at any others. I fell in love with it just driving up the driveway to the House. It really is a beautiful venue” When you know, you know!
Did you have a favourite element of your dress?
“The sparkles!
What was your routine / plan the night before?
“We all stayed at the Goodwood hotel the night before with a lot of the guests too so it was really lovely to all have dinner and a few drinks together. I then stayed with my mum and sister for the night which was lots of fun!”
What was your highlight of the special day?
“The wedding breakfast. We went for a banquet style table setting and it was just magical. Lots of candles and red roses and Christmas songs playing in the background.” Talk about a feast with style!
What was your favourite part / job to do planning your wedding day?
“Definitely finding my wedding dress” This makes us very happy! Lots of brides panic about this element before their appointment. But we promise, once you’re through the Minster Bridal doors, you’ll feel right at home.
What advice would you give future brides when looking for their dress and planning
their day?
“Make sure you are organised and book all your suppliers early. Don’t stress.. there will always be last minute changes or guests that drop out but you just have to go with it and not stress about anything and my biggest advice is 100% ask the venue if they have a separate room you both can go to for 15 minutes or so just to breathe and take everything in after the ceremony and pictures.” We love this advice! Taking a moment for the two of you is so important and often missed. After all, that’s why you and everyone else is there. To celebrate your ever lasting love.
