Lets talk wedding jewels ladies. So, you have chosen the dress of your dreams to walk down the aisle in, so now its time to decide on the jewellery to wear on your big day to best compliment your your beautiful gown.

We all know Diamonds are a girls best friend, but lets not forget the beauty of the pearl as well. Two very different stones but equally as stunning.

Before we get started, please remember your wedding day style is totally up to you, its your day, its your dress, they are your jewels, I am writing this blog solely to provide you with some inspiration.

Have you chosen a high neckline wedding dress? If this is you, maybe think about avoiding a necklace. Adding a necklace to a high neck could run a risk of clashing between details. Also you have chosen a high neckline for a reason, you don’t want to take the attention away from this beautiful element. How about instead a statement earring? A chandelier possibly, or a droplet would look stunning.

Again, if you have chosen an off the shoulder style dress I think a statement earring would pair perfectly with this delicate style. Choosing a pair of earrings to WOW your guests will draw eyes upwards and the focus will be on your exposed collar bones for that little hint of sexy. If you are feeling a little bare on your chest though, then a subtle and delicate necklace would look so charming.

A sleeved gown will more than likely have beautiful detail on the chest and over the bodice so you may feel that you don’t need to add anything more to this. An elegant pair of pearl earrings would look divine with this style, or why not make it that little more special with a mixture of crystals/diamonds with pearls. If you have a plain illusion sleeve on your gown you could even add a delicate bracelet.

A strapless dress… now we have room to play around, literally, the jewellery world is your oyster. You can really personalise your look with accessories with this gown, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, how about even stacking bracelets? The possibilities are endless!

Of course with any style gown, accessories for your hair will always look glorious. If you do wish to wear something special in your hair on the big day you really cant go wrong, and there are so many options around; Tiara’s, headbands, hair slides, flower bands, flower crowns and of course not forgetting the beautiful, forever elegant veil.
